The owners of Collins Tower in downtown Danville have decided not to place a hotel or casino there. They have also scrapped plans for an indoor theme park, but have announced new plans for the site previously known as Bresee Tower.

Although plans for a hotel were dropped, one of the floors at what was the courthouse annex is now being proposed for short-term stays….
The top floor of Collins Tower – where owners Jerri and Chris Collins plan to live – will be one large unit.
Jeri Collins also noted that Collins Tower is now on the National Registry of Historic Places….
It is estimated that it will cost between seven and nine-million dollars to complete the renovation of Collins Tower and the former courthouse annex buildings. But Jeri Collins says it will happen. She says funding has already been secured through a partner in Houston.
