Danville Police are probing a Monday evening shooting in which a 16-year-old suffered a gunshot wound to an arm. Officers responded to The Blue Store in the 800 block of North Vermilion Street on a report of shots fired shortly before 6:30 p.m. (November 19, 2018).
Joshua Webb, Commander of the Danville Police Criminal Investigations Division, says the boy who was shot told police he was on the parking lot of the business when an unknown subject exited an SUV and started shooting at the victim’s vehicle. The victim drove himself to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center for treatment. Commander Webb says the wound was not life-threatening.
Danville Police are searching for the white Chevrolet SUV in which the suspect was traveling. Police are also looking for the occupants of a silver colored 4 door sedan which may have been involved in this incident.
