The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office has released the name of the man killed in a Danville shooting on Sunday (November 18, 2018). Coroner Jane McFadden says the victim is 34-year-old Daniel R. Jackson of Danville.
Jackson was pronounced dead shortly after he was shot at a home in the 1500 block of East English Street Sunday morning. Coroner McFadden says his name had been withheld since the shooting so the victim’s family could be notified. An autopsy was performed Sunday and the results are pending.
In addition to Jackson being shot, Danville Police say a 19-year-old Danville man was critically wounded. Police are still investigating the incident and say it occurred as about fifty people were attending a party at the home.
