Vermilion County Sheriff’s Police say no one is being sought in a Saturday night double shooting in which both victims died. Sheriff’s Captain Michael Hartshorn says the investigation shows that 37-year-old Christopher Knight shot his father….58-year-old Daryl Knight, and then shot himself.
Hartshorn says deputies were dispatched to the 200 block of Brewer Road shortly before 8:15 p.m. (December 29, 2018) on a report of a female knocking on doors and screaming for help. The female told deputies she had been at her home and observed her brother and father in a verbal argument. Then she says she saw her brother shoot her father with a handgun, according to Hartshorn. The female then ran from the residence to get help.
When deputies arrived they found both Daryl and Christopher Knight dead inside the residence.
The location where the shooting occurred is just outside the Danville city limits.
