One of the candidates in the race for Danville mayor has withdrawn from the competition. So now there will be no need for the February 26th Primary Election vote.
Sheldon McClain has decided he will not be running as a write-in candidate. His withdrawal leaves four candidates still in the race:
- Rickey Williams Jr. (currently Danville’s acting mayor)
- Donald Crews
- James McMahon
- Steve Nichols
Those four candidates will now automatically advance to the General Election in April.
