Danville Firefighters doused a smoky blaze tonight (Thursday) that struck a storage building owned by Dively Development Company. The building at 509 Oak Street is used for storage for the nearby Jocko’s and Lee’s Famous Recipe Chicken and Strips restaurants.

Acting Assistant Danville Fire Chief Tim Heinrichs says the fire started in a laundry area, but the exact cause remains under investigation. He says the original alarm was from someone reporting smoke in the area.
Kim Watson, a manager for Jocko’s, says the building is where laundry was done for the restaurants. It was also used for storage for the businesses which are located across the street from the building where the fire was located.
There were no injuries and a dollar estimate of the loss was not immediately available.
