Illinois Agriculture Director John Sullivan says he hopes trade disputes that have been impacting the state’s farmers will be quickly resolved….
Sullivan talked about the trade disputes and other issues during a stop at Danville Area Community College Thursday. He was there as part of DACC’S AG Day activities.

Sullivan was just confirmed by the Senate last week to be Illinois’ new Ag Director. He had been serving as interim Ag Director for three months since being selected by Governor JB Pritzker.
Sullivan says his office has been working hard to make it possible for Illinois farmers to plant hemp this year…
Sullivan expects an announcement next week regarding permits to grow hemp.
The new Illinois Ag Director also told the audience at Danville Area Community College that his office is working to improve broadband internet service in rural areas. And he says a $10-million dollar renovation at the Illinois State Fair Coliseum should be completed in time for the fair in August.
