Vermilion County real estate tax bills will be in the mail soon.
County Treasurer Darren Duncan says his office is simply waiting on the State of Illinois Department of Revenue to issue its final property equalization factor for the county. Duncan says there are about 55,000 tax bills that will be going out once the equalization factor is known…

Duncan says a little over half of the property taxes which are collected in Vermilion County go to support local school districts. He expects the bills will likely be mailed out later this week or next week.
