The Vermilion County War Museum is observing Armed Forces Day on Saturday (May 18th).
Susan Miceli, the Museum Development Manager, says the museum will be hosting an open house from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. with a number of special displays….
Miceli says Danville and Vermilion County are fortunate to have such a museum…
The War Museum depends on donations and grants to operate. And although there is no admission fee on Saturday, Miceli says any contributions would be appreciated. Memberships will also be on sale.
The cost is $15 for an individual membership or $25 for a family one.
And Miceli adds the War Museum is always looking for volunteers. She adds you do not need a military background in order to volunteer.
