The Superintendent of Schools in the Georgetown – Ridge Farm District, Dr. Jean Neal, says she is excited about a new agreement with Danville Area Community College. DACC will be offering some college level and GED classes during the evening at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School. And there will also be additional opportunities for high school students to be involved in dual-enrollment courses with DACC, starting this fall.

And President Nacco notes the classes are not just for students from the Georgetown – Ridge Farm District….
Superintendent Neal says there will be some informational meetings about the new classes later this summer. Again, the classes start this fall at Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School.
President Nacco notes Danville Area Community College already offers some classes in the northern part of the county with its Hoopeston facility. Now, he says the college wants to expand what it is doing in the southern part of the county.
