Mayor Williams says he will be meeting with aldermen to discuss the path forward. He notes there are a number of questions that will be included in the RFP packet….
Although it will be up to the developer to suggest where the casino will be placed, Mayor Williams says all of the places mentioned to him so far are near Interstate 74. He says that would allow for easy access and also allow it to be easily seen.
And although the initial agreement with a developer is expected to occur quickly, the Mayor adds actually getting a casino open here will likely take a while….
