It is still over a month away…but local preparations are being finalized for a National Night Out observance in Danville. The event will be held Tuesday, August 6th (2019) from 5:30 until 8:30 p.m. at each of Danville’s three fire stations.
The Danville Fire and Police Departments, along with Arrow and Pro Ambulance Services and various Danville Neighborhood Associations are teaming up for the event.
Local residents will be encouraged to lock their doors and turn on their porch lights and spend time outside enjoying time with their neighbors.
Each of the Danville Fire stations will be hosting unique activities as they invite local residents to stop by. There will be food vendors selling food, activities for kids, music and safety demonstrations. There will also be a classic car cruise in and opportunities for the public to meet the men and women who work to keep them safe.
Fire Station 1 is located at 301 West Seminary Street in Danville. Station 2 is located at 2129 North Vermilion Street, and Station 3 is at 1111 North Griffin Street.
The general public is invited to visit any or all of the stations during National Night Out. Again, it is between 5:30 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6th.
