The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office and County Sheriff’s Police are continuing their investigation into a single-vehicle crash last week which killed a young Rankin woman. Coroner Jane McFadden says 33-year-old Shelly Durflinger was ejected from her sport utility vehicle when it went out of control and crashed along County Road 4200 North near Hoopeston.
The Coroner says Durflinger was headed to her job in Hoopeston when the crash occurred on the afternoon of June 19th. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
