The tour was at the farm of Gabe and Jenny Shepherd, where the couple is now the sixth generation running the operation. Gabe Shepherd described the farm….

The two hog barns where the tour occurred sit on about five acres of land. The Parks Companies owns the pig barns and provides the day-to-day animal care. Representatives from the Illinois Pork Producers Association were among those who took the tour.
