Downtown Danville, Inc. is hosting what is being called ‘Trick or Treating in the Land of Oz’ for Friday evening’s (October 4, 2019) ‘First Friday’ event. Children accompanied by parents are invited to Trick or Treat at participating downtown merchants between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.
‘The Wizard of Oz’ movie will be shown at the Fischer Theatre – starting at 4:00 and 7:00 p.m.
Characters from the Danville Light Opera production of The Wizard of Oz will be on hand for picture opportunities at Temple Plaza from 6:00 until 7:30 p.m. (Friday, October 4th, 2019).
Then on Saturday (October 5th) The Wizard of Oz will again be shown at the Fischer Theatre starting at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 each.
The Movie is being shown Saturday as part of the Soul Garden Recovery Center’s Pumpkin Festival. It runs from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Saturday and includes a Witches Ride for Recovery. Bicyclists can register starting at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Danville’s Lincoln Park for the ride to downtown Danville.
There will be games, food, an Escape Room, Psychic and Wellness Fair, pumpkin decorating contest, and the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Derby – all on Saturday. The Pumpkin Festival will be based at Temple Plaza in downtown Danville.
