Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden says positive identification has been made on some human remains found following an October fire in Danville. She says the victim of the blaze at 205 East Third Street is Timothy W. Duncan, 52, of Covington, Indiana.
The Coroner says Duncan was forensically identified, and an autopsy determined he died from smoke and soot inhalation due to the fire.
Danville Police were called to the abandoned and burned home on October 11th after it was reported that possible human skeletal remains had been found there. Police and Fire Investigators were assisted by Illinois State Police Forensic experts in identifying Duncan.
