The Vermilion County Board has agreed to honor one of its own by naming the chambers where the board meets the ‘Ivadale Foster Vermilion County Chambers’. The chambers are located at the Vermilion County Administration Building at 201 North Vermilion in Danville.
The last time a county owned building was named in someone’s honor was when the Vermilion County Courthouse was named the Rita B. Garman Vermilion County Courthouse.
Last night’s vote merely named the County Board chambers the ‘Ivadale Foster Vermilion County Chambers.
Foster served on many county board committees until her death. She was particularly known for her support of the Vermilion Manor Nursing Home.
