Schlarman Academy says its students now have an opportunity to graduate with over a year of college credit through an enhanced dual enrollment program started this school year. Junior and senior students are able to take up to 36 hours of college level courses taught by a combination of Schlarman Academy faculty and Danville Area Community College faculty at the North Campus.
All of the courses in the hybrid program are being offered free of charge to Schlarman Academy students because of private donations that support the program.
‘’We are thrilled to offer this enhanced dual enrollment program to our students and are grateful for the partnership with DACC and the financial sponsors that make it possible,’’ said Schlarman Academy Principal Mark Janesky. He noted Schlarman Academy hopes to be able to expand the program with additional dual enrollment courses during the 2020-2021 school year.
