A Danville City Council committee is recommending the full council approve the establishment of a waiting list of businesses wanting video gaming licenses. The City Council decided last year to limit the number of video gaming licenses to thirty.
Under the proposed amendment to the Video Gaming License Ordinance, the City Clerk would keep track of those on the waiting list. Anyone wanting a license would have to pay a license fee within 15 days of when they file their application.
The Public Services Committee of the city council approved the proposal 5 to 0 last night, sending the matter to the full council for consideration.
