An event being held this evening (Friday, February 28, 2020) in Danville is designed to help children of addicts. The Soul Garden Recovery Center is holding its 2nd annual Chicken and Noodle Dinner and Youth Talent Showcase called ‘’A Child’s Voice Above the Noise’’. It is designed to bring attention to the most vulnerable victims of addiction – the children.
The dinner starts at 6 o’clock this evening and the youth talent show begins at 6:45 p.m. at the Harrison Park Clubhouse in Danville. It is located at 1300 West Voorhees Street. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for those under 10. Tickets will be available at the door.
Soul Garden Recovery Coalition is a non-profit organization made up of people in recovery, those who support them, and those who are affected by the addiction which includes children and grandparents.
Besides resource, referral and support groups for people desiring recovery, Soul Garden Recovery Center offers supportive education and groups for children to stay healthy and safe while their parent(s) deal with substance abuse.
