Two area residents have been selected to receive the ‘Outstanding Young Persons of Illinois Award’ from the Illinois Jaycees. Thirty-seven year old Susan Miceli-Green of Georgetown and Rob Dalhaus III, 30, of St. Joseph, are being honored for excelling in their chosen fields and showing a great commitment to their communities.
Miceli-Green is the Development Manager at the Vermilion County War Museum. In addition to her fundraising and program responsibilities she volunteers her time handling museum public relations. And Miceli-Green also often works to improve the design and appearance of the War Museum displays.
Dalhaus is Executive-Director of C-U at Home, a non-profit organization that provides services and opportunities for the homeless in the Champaign-Urbana area. He was cited by the Illinois Jaycees for his humanitarian and voluntary leadership efforts.
Nine people were selected statewide to receive the award. All will be honored at a May 2nd awards banquet in Springfield.
