Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer has suggested that the coronavirus pandemic could be seen as an example of Mother Nature's response to humanity's exploitation of natural conditions.
Shaffer took to Twitter on Wednesday (March 18th) to share a viral poem by Minnesota syndicated columnist Laura Kelly Fanucci, and he wrote, “Mother Nature comes to collect on the karmic debt. Hopefully we all learn something about ourselves, culture, our inter-connections on this planet.”
Korn recently announced a co-headlining North American tour with Faith No More that is expected to kick off on August 7th in Denver and make stops in 26 stops before wrapping up with a performance in St. Louis on September 17th.
The trek is supposed to follow up the two acts' scheduled two-day stand at Banc Of California stadium in Los Angeles on May 22nd and 23rd, which will also feature co-headliner System Of A Down and opening acts Helmet and Russian Circles. Both the tour and the stadium shows are likely to be affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
