The operator of a Danville motel is pitching in to help during the COVID-19 corona threat. Joe Patel says as part of the Econolodge commitment to the community, complementary rooms are being offered to traveling doctors and nurses coming to OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center or the VA Illiana Health Care Medical Center in Danville.
In addition, Patel says all voluntary workers from anywhere who are helping in Danville and surrounding areas are welcome to have complementary hotel rooms at the Econolodge of Danville from now until midnight on March 31st.
‘’We want to be a part of this community,’’ said Patel during an interview with VermilionCountyFirst.com News. ‘’We have a number of rooms available and want to help,’’ he added.
Patel says his motel often helps people in need. For example anyone who experiences a fire at their home is welcome to stay at the Danville Econolodge free of charge for at least one night.
