Korn has shared a new video for the song “Can You Hear Me,” which is taken from the group's 2019 album The Nothing.
The clip shows a person in a hoodie, oozing some kind of viscous liquid as they stare at a wall of TV screens and a phone. The person, whose face reflects the images on the screens, leaves comments, some positive, some negative, until the bleak ending.
A previous clip for the song, dubbed the “official visualizer,” paired the tune with visuals of a commune leader and lots of blood.
Korn singer Jonathan Davis has told us before that he's concerned about the future of humanity: “Something really has to change to make this world a better place, and I hope I see it in my lifetime. I hope my kids will inherit an Earth that's gonna be peaceful and nice, but I have not that much hope for that. You know, it's scary, man. I don't know what's gonna happen. I don't know if our president's gonna blow a gasket and start a nuclear war or what the hell's gonna happen. You never know, so, you know, I'm just gonna live it day by day and hope that everything works out.”
The Nothing, which came out last September, is Korn's 13th studio effort and debuted at Number Eight on the Billboard 200 chart.
