The Killers have unveiled a new video for their latest single, “Caution,” that also serves as a preview of a forthcoming short film tied to the band's upcoming album Imploding The Mirage.
The clip was directed by Sing Lee and finds the Killers dressed up in sharp ’60s outfits and performing at a teen dance. According to a press release, this is “the first glimpse of a longer film the band has made with its director.”
The footage opens on two older cast members, seemingly a couple, being cast for a role in a production. Meanwhile, we see two teens flirting across different backdrops in their suburban town. Eventually, they wind up at a high school dance where the Killers are the live band, and of course are playing “Caution.”
Imploding The Mirage, the Killers' sixth studio LP, is due out on May 29th. The band had mapped out an extensive world tour that is supposed to hit North America in late summer, but the ticket sales have been postponed and the tour itself is in question due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
