Police in Terre Haute (Indiana) say a Trans Care ambulance was stolen from Terre Haute Regional Hospital Monday. Sullivan County Sheriff’s Deputies observed the stolen vehicle and pursued it.
The ambulance eventually ran over stop sticks that had been deployed. The suspect then drove into a field and the pursuit ended. Terre Haute Police say the suspect had cut herself and an Evansville Trooper applied a tourniquet. The suspect was transported to a Vincennes Hospital where she is being treated for her injuries. Per department policy, police say the name of the woman is not being released at this time.
