The City of Danville has begun yard waste collections. Public Works Director Carl Carpenter says containers and bags will be collected weekly from all residents participating in the program. The weekly collections will continue through the end of April, then beginning on May 4th the bi-weekly container only period will begin.
Carpenter says yard waste stickers may be purchased by calling the Public Works office at 431-2288 and paying using a credit or debit card. You may also mail a check the Danville Public Works office at 1155 East Voorhees Street, Ste. A. The sticker will be mailed to you. The fee remains at $40 for each sticker purchased.
