Danville Firefighters doused a blaze this evening (Tuesday, April 14, 2020) which left extensive damage to two apartments. Firefighters found heavy flames coming from a first floor apartment at 1014 Belton Drive, and then discovered the flames had spread upstairs to 1012 Belton.
There were no injuries and firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control. Preliminary damage estimates were placed at nearly $45-thousand dollars.
The cause of the fire is listed as accidental, but other information was not released. The apartment building is located in the Fair Oaks Public Housing area.
