Breaking Benjamin has released the official music video for its song “Dear Agony,” featuring a guest appearance by ex-Flyleaf singer Lacey Sturm. The track is taken from Breaking Benjamin's latest album, Aurora, a collection of reimagined versions of the band's biggest songs.
Aurora also includes special guests Scooter Ward from Cold, singer Michael Barnes from Red and Saint Asonia frontman Adam Gontier, to name a few.
In other news, the set's one new song, “Far Away,” featuring Ward, has hit Number One at rock radio. That makes it the group's 10th chart-topper.
Breaking Benjamin founder/frontman Ben Burnley said about the accomplishment, “This has been a dark time for everyone, so I’m happy we can share something good with the Breaking Benjamin family that we’ve achieved together. I just want to say thank you to everyone who supports us, old fans and new, because without you we wouldn’t have any of this.”
Despite being a rock radio staple, Burnley told us a while back that there's two situations in which he feels strange hearing himself over the airwaves: “First thing that's weird that's happened to me is when I set my alarm, and it goes off, and my song's on. Another thing that's weird is when you're doing it, and your song comes on, especially me being the singer. I can't keep going, man. I can't keep going 'cause it's gross, it's like, 'Yeah, you know who that is?'”
Additionally, Breaking Benjamin presented checks last week to both Shriners and St. Jude Hospitals respectively. The band donated a portion of its tour revenue from its recent North American tour with Korn.
