A single-vehicle accident just outside the Danville city limits has claimed a life early today (Friday, April 17, 2020). Vermilion County Sheriff’s Police say the victim is a 43-year-old rural Danville woman who was the sole occupant of a vehicle which left the 1800 block of Vine Street and crashed into a deep ravine. The name of the victim is being withheld pending the notification of family members by the Vermilion County Coroner.
The vehicle struck a utility pole as it left the road. Sheriff’s Police and Danville Firefighters were called to the scene at 2:45 a.m. Firefighters were there until after 4:00 a.m.
