This year’s Warren County, Indiana fair at Williamsport will see some major changes because of the COVID-19 pandemic. All projects will be submitted virtually, and animal shows will be ‘show and go’ instead of leaving the animals on display. There will also be no carnival or special shows, and no commercial exhibits.
The Queen Contest will be held, but the board decided it will be a private affair by invitation only. And contestants will have to wear masks.
The board also decided there will still be food available during fair week – scheduled July 6th-11th – with carry-outs available. But evening dinners that are normally available will only be available on Thursday and Friday this year.
In past years the Warren County Fair, which is run in cooperation with the Purdue University Extension Office, has even included hot air ballooning. The fair was originally scheduled June 9th through 13th but was pushed back in hopes that more activities could be held in July.
