Singer, Amy Lee of Evanescence was asked to comment about the effects of Covid-19 on mental health. In a recent interview she responded and said, “I struggle with my own issues too. It's hard to always give advice, because I think I know the right answers, but I don't necessarily always do great. Anxiety is a tough one right now, because we never know what's gonna happen next really, but we kind of do. And right now, we really don't.”
She also urges to do something that makes you feel good. She says that making music makes her feel good and that’s why she started Evanescence.
She says, it doesn’t have to be music and added: “Baking a pie or making a song, at the end of it, you feel really good because something exists that didn't exist before you were there. So, I think that creation in general is really healing — painting, baking, whatever.”
Just last month, Evanescence released “Wasted On You,” the first single from their next album. Although the band is isolated from each other, they shot a video for the song. The album, The Bitter Truth, will be released later this year.
