A dog was taken from the Vermilion County Animal Shelter Monday night.
County Board Chairman Larry Baughn said during Tuesday night’s board meeting that the perpetrator gained access to the building and sprayed graffiti on one of the shelter’s vehicles and along the back side of the building, but did not take any equipment.
Baughn said the dog’s owner was denied access to the dog last Friday. He said the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident.
