Danville police have arrested five people for breaking, entering and looting after incidents at two Danville stores late Sunday night.
Officers were called to the Burlington Coat Factory store at Village Mall at 10:19 p.m. Sunday night. 23-year-old Shawnterrius Crider of Danville, 27-year-old Pearson Robinson of Urbana and 36-year-old Chaneta Butler of Danville were arrested and have been charged with criminal damage to property, mob action, looting and burglary charges. Butler has also been charged with aggravated fleeing and eluding.
At 11:17 p.m., officers were called to the Stock and Field store along North Vermilion Street. Officers arrested 19-year-old Greyson Tibbetts and 20-year-old Catarina Rangel, both of Danville. They have each been charged with criminal damage to property, mob action, looting and burglary.
Officers are still investigating other subjects involved with both incidents.
