Melissa Quick, current deputy circuit clerk for Vermilion County, has been named the new Vermilion County Circuit Clerk.
Quick has served as the deputy circuit clerk for 29 years. She is replacing Denny Gardner, who decided to retire before the end of his third term in office.
Quick is running in the November election as the Republican candidate for circuit clerk. She was recommended by the Vermilion County Republican Central Committee as Gardner’s replacement. Gwendolyn Meeks is running as the Democratic nominee on the ballot.
