The state-run community-based coronavirus testing location at Market Place Mall in Champaign has reopened.
Ten of the 11 coronavirus testing sites around the state, other than the Waukegan location, reopened to normal operations Wednesday. All of the locations had been closed due to protests and rioting taking place in the aftermath of the George Floyd shooting.
Market Place Mall was the site of a riot on Sunday afternoon. Several people broken into stores and stole merchandise.
The drive-thru testing site is open from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily or until supplies last. Champaign’s site is along Market Street at the east side of the mall.
