In This Moment singer Maria Brink is joining with witches, shamans, occultists and other practitioners of alternative spirituality to focus on bringing healing and justice to the world.
While tweeting her support for Black Lives Matter, Brink shared a call on social media for witches to act on Friday (June 5th), which is also the supermoon. The post called for them to “focus your intent, do spellwork, light a candle, do what you find necessary to send protection, do healing and bring justice to injustice everywhere.”
June 5th is the Strawberry Lunar Eclipse, with astrologer Lisa Stardust saying it's “setting the tone for the energy of the next year and a half . . . we can expect truths and injustices to be exposed on a global level.”
Brink is not the first rock artist to espouse the tenets of witchcraft and the Wiccan religion. Others include Godsmack's Sully Erna and New Year's Day singer Ash Costello.
In This Moment's latest album, Mother, arrived in late March. The first single is called “The In-Between.”
