Danville Police say a chase across town Friday afternoon (June 5, 2020) ended when the driver pulled into the Emergency Department unloading area of OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center. Police had received a report that a woman either fell out of a car or had been pushed from it. Police say she then was apparently placed back in the car before it sped across town.

As police were responding to the call a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed was seen approaching from the opposite direction. Officers pursued the car which failed to stop until it finally reached the hospital. Police took the driver into custody and had the vehicle impounded. They were continuing to investigate to try to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, and other information was not immediately available.
