It is the first day of regular summer classes at Danville Area Community College, and most of those classes will continue to be taught online. Only a handful of classes will be taking place on the campus.
Danville Area Community College President Stephen Nacco says the college remains committed to do everything conceivable to keep employees and students safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
Also starting today (Monday, June 8, 2020) essential business operations resume on campus. The offices scheduled to be open from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. include:
- Admissions/registration
- Records
- Financial Aid
- Academic Advising
- Adult Education
- Cashier
- Book Store
- Testing Center
Students and employees were notified earlier about entry checkpoints which will be staffed by security between 6:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day. Everyone coming onto the campus will have their temperature and masks checked by security.
