Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has announced the Hoosier state will be shifting to Stage 4 of a 5 part plan to re-open the state from the coronavirus pandemic on Friday (June 12, 2020). The Friday opening is two days earlier than had been planned.
Under Stage 4, Indiana will allow restaurants to operate at 75-percent of capacity with social distancing. Bars and nightclubs can operate at 50-percent of capacity (with social distancing), and social gatherings will allow up to 250 people.
Also Friday Indiana theaters and bowling alleys can operate at 50-percent of capacity, attractions such as zoos and museums can re-open, and Indiana stores can resume their normal operations with social distancing. Casinos with approved safety plans will be opening on Monday.
Indiana is also allowing amusement and water parks to operate at 50-percent of normal operations effective on Friday. And playgrounds are also reopening in Indiana with precautions.
