Last night (June 11th), Nicki Minaj went live with Tekashi 6ix9ine before releasing their new collaboration "Trollz" to explain why she decided to work with him. She said that this is the "music business and I think we're confusing the two."
She continued, ["Street n*ggas have every right to feel the way they want to feel about snitching because they live that life. I feel rappers need to play it easy because everybody mingles and intergrates with every body and if a top executive rat call y'all to unsign rappers right now to sign y'all, y'all signing. . . . So, let's be clear when we talk about rappers vs. street n*ggas. There's rappers that put guns they never bust a day in their life in their music all the muthaf*ckin time. . . .I feel like street n*ggas has a right to feel how they m*thaf*ckin feel because their in the field and I'm not on the block with 6ix9ine."] SOUNDCUE (:55 OC . . . block with 6ix9ine)
She also revealed that her husband, however, doesn't support "snitch culture."
Meanwhile, Nicki threw a couple of shots at a couple of people on "Trollz." She threw a shot at LisaRaye, who told Nicki to "take a seat" to Lil Kim last month. Nicki rapped "Dolla Dolla Bill, come get her. Even your man know Nicki's do it betterrrrr." Nicki's line referenced LisaRaye's roll in "Player's Club" and LisaRaye's husband cheating with Nicole Murphy.
She also addressed Usher, who called Nicki a "product" of Lil Kim, saying, “Somebody usher this n*gga into a clinic. My Flow still sick, I ain’t talking a pandemic."
Nicki also addressed Meek Mill on the song, rapping, “Talking bout snitches when it’s snitches in your camp."
