- Rush has posted a new animated video of 1980's “The Spirit Of Radio.” The clip, which was issued to promote the band's new Permanent Waves – 40th Anniversary collection, celebrates the DJ's that supported the band's through the years, touched upon the band's history, and ends with a dedication to its late drummer, stating: “In memory of our brother Neil Peart.”
- Pink Floyd's David Gilmour will release his first new song in half-a-decade on June 25th. The track, titled, “Yes, I Have Ghosts,” will initially be released as part of the audio edition of his wife and lyricist Polly Samson's book, A Theatre for Dreamers, before seeing a wide release a week later. - Sammy Hagar & The Circle are keeping their “Lockdown Challenge” going with a new self-quarantine version of Van Halen's 1991 favorite, “Right Now.” Hagar, along with Michael Anthony, Jason Bonham, and Vic Johnson have already tackled versions of Little Richard's “Keep A-Knockin',” Buffalo Springfield's “For What It's Worth,” AC/DC's “Whole Lotta Rosie,” the Who's “Won't Get Fooled Again,” Bob Marley & The Wailers' “Three Little Birds,” Van Halen's “Good Enough,” and their own original jam, “Funky Feng Shui.”
- Def Leppard are thinking about how its road crew is struggling by being off the road during the ongoing pandemic. The band posted on its Instagram page: “During the past few months we've been going through the Def Leppard vaults and came across these vintage crew shirts! So we decided to create a limited edition merch line inspired by these authentic touring/local crew shirt designs to support our crew – without whom our shows wouldn't happen.
