Danville Police are investigating several reports of shots being fired over the weekend. There are social media reports this morning saying at least one person was shot last night on the city’s east side, but no official information has been released by police.
On Saturday, Danville Police responded to calls involving the discharge of firearms in the 600 block of Plum Street, 900 block of North Bowman Avenue and 1300 block of East Main Street. No information was available on whether anyone was hurt.
Danville Police are also investigating some business burglaries. One was reported early Sunday at JB Hawks at 501 North Vermilion Street. Another burglary was discovered early Saturday at the E-Z Mart in the 200 block of West Fairchild Street.
