Disturbed has confirmed the rescheduled 2021 dates for its tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of its debut album The Sickness. The tour, also featuring Staind and Bad Wolves, will now begin on July 7th, 2021 in West Palm Beach, Florida, ending on August 31st in West Valley City, Utah.
The tour, originally slated for this summer, will feature the band performing many — but not all — of the songs from The Sickness. All tickets for the tour will be honored, and fans who cannot make their rescheduled date will be able to obtain a refund.
Singer David Draiman, meanwhile, told Download TV that the band is in the very early stages of working on new music. Draiman, who resides in Hawaii, explained, "(I've been) having conversations with the other guys in Disturbed about getting some new material going, and we've got some stuff in its infancy. One song, definitely, that's killer in our back pocket; we just haven't tracked it. And we've got a few more song ideas, nothing that's been hashed out enough."
Disturbed has written its last couple of albums just jamming together in a room, and guitarist Dan Donegan told us a while back that he enjoyed working that way: ["We need to be in a room together. Even though it's nice to have the technology and Pro Tools and the luxury of sending ideas back and forth, that's a good starting point, but there's something definitely more magical about being in the room together."] SOUNDCUE (:12 OC: . . . the room together.)
