Snoop Dogg was trending on social media this past weekend after he released footage of a studio session with Kanye West. The rapper has been very vocal about Kanye's support for Donald Trump.
According to Page Six, Snoop is working with Ye and Dr. Dre on a new version of Ye's album Jesus Is King. One person tweeted, “F–k snoop dogg. He’s the biggest hypocrite. He was talking all bad about Kanye when he was wearing MAGA hats now he’s in the Stu with him? Lame as hell.”
Another person wrote, “Uncle Snoop izza Hypocrite. He’s going against his words now. I thought he hated Ye.”
Back in 2018, during a radio interview, Snoop went off on Trump supporters and called out Kanye, saying, “If you like that n–a, you’re motherf–king racist. F–k you and f–k him…Kanye too, n–a, don’t forget about him too, f–k you too! Throw him in the bag ‘cuz he right with them motherf–kers.”
In another radio interview that same year, Snoop said that he didn't hate Ye, but he just felt like he was brainwashed.
KANYE SIGNS 10 YEAR DEAL WITH THE GAP
In other Kanye news, the rapper has announced a Yeezy x GAP partnership. According to The New York Times, in a statement, Mark Breitbard, Global Head of Gap Brand said in a press release, “We are excited to welcome Kanye back to the Gap family as a creative visionary, building on the aesthetic and success of his Yeezy brand and together defining a next-level retail partnership.”
The Yeezy Gap line will consist on men, women and kid pieces “at accessible price points” and is expected to launch sometime in 2021.
The deal is for 10 years with an option to renew after five. Gap is reportedly aiming to be bringing in $1 billion in annual Yeezy Gap-generated sales by the five-year mark. West’s Yeezy, meanwhile, stands to gain royalties and potential equity.
