A house on Danville’s southeast side was damaged by a fire Sunday evening.
Danville firefighters were called to the house at 305 N. Griffin St. around 6:30 p.m. The location is across from Ruler Foods near the intersection of Griffin and Main streets.
Assistant Fire Chief Tim Heinrichs said firefighters extinguished a fire in one room of the house, although there was smoke damage throughout the house. No one was inside the house when firefighters arrived.
