Westville’s Labor Day celebration this year has been canceled. Organizers said in a Facebook post Wednesday night that the health and safety of attendees is their greatest concern.
Insurance and licensing the celebration were also factors that led to the cancellation, organizers said.
The Westville Lions Club will continue to sell raffle tickets and then have a drawing on Facebook Live on Labor Day. Funds raised will go toward supporting the community over the next year and for the 2021 Labor Day celebration.
