Danville Area Community College has a new mobile app for students to use.
College President Dr. Stephen Nacco says the app can be used by everyone, which means students who don’t have wireless internet at home can still access their grades and other college services.
“They still can’t do their classes, really, on a phone, but they can access their grades, they can access and know what’s goign on in their classes,” said Nacco.
The new mobile app has been in the making for the last three years.
One of the key features is a single login where students can access their class websites, career services, library, bookstore and pay tuition.
The college’s board of trustees also learned at their meeting last night that DACC has been awarded $262,000 as part of Governor J.B. Pritzker’s Emergency Education Relief Fund. Nacco said the money will help the college overcome financial losses due to the coronavirus pandemic.
