Construction continues to advance on two large buildings being built along Illinois route one, near Ross Lane in Tilton. A spokeswoman for Paul Offutt Development Company of Danville had earlier said both were ‘’spec buildings’’ being constructed by the company in order to keep workers busy. But now the company says it has two tenants lined up for one of them.

(Workers were busy Monday along Georgetown Road in Tilton as rain prepared to move in.)
The spokeswoman says True Grit Fitness Center, which is now located at the rear of the former Gaudio building on Georgetown Road, will be moving to one of the new buildings being built next door. And Sienna Tan will be relocating into the front portion of that same building – once construction is complete. The building those two businesses will be moving into is located directly south of the former Gaudio building.

No new tenant has been announced yet for the second – much larger building being constructed in that same general area.
And the Offuff Development spokeswoman had no comment when asked whether anyone has been found yet to move into the former Gaudio building. It has been used multiple times in recent months as a drive-through distribution site by the Eastern Illinois Food Pantry while passing out free food.
