Four new COVID-19 cases were reported in Vermilion County Thursday afternoon.
The Vermilion County Health Department says the new cases are one person each in their 60’s, 50’s, 40’s and 20’s.
Health Department Administrator Doug Toole says one person lives in a household with three others who have tested positive, two of whom recently traveled out-of-state.
The county currently has 32 active cases, with three people hospitalized and the rest in isolation.
The Illinois Department of Public Health announced 1,953 new confirmed COVID-19 cases statewide, including 21 deaths.
Currently, IDPH is reporting a total of 188,424 cases and 7,594 deaths. The seven-day statewide case positivity is four percent. As of Wednesday night, 1,517 people in Illinois were reported to be in the hospital with COVID-19. Of those, 346 patients were in the ICU and 132 patients with COVID-19 were on ventilators.
